Unlawful guidance on the 2010 Equality Act

AEA legal case update

A legal case brought by Authentic Equity Alliance (AEA) is moving forward with a 1-day oral permissions hearing on the 6th May. They are crowdfunding and need support.

The case wants to address official sources providing unlawful guidance on the 2010 Equality Act. Misinformation on single-sex exemptions have been included on the websites of the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) and the Government Equalities Office (GEO), resulting in many institutions and organsations across the UK spreading unlawful information.

The law allows single sex exemptions and these are not discriminatory. It is important that we are not misled on legality of women-only spaces.

Wales Ask the Candidates Event

There is an online event for Welsh voters to ask questions of their representatives on gender equality. There will be participants from Welsh Labour, Welsh Conservatives, Plaid Cymru and The Welsh Liberal Democrats.
