Ask Your Police and Crime Commissioner
On 28th April, Lord Lucas asked the Government what they planned to do about recording male perpetrators of rape who identify as women, as female on police systems. The answer makes it clear that each force is free to record crimes for their own purposes of record keeping. Your Police and Crime Commissioner therefore has the power to to ensure sex is accurately recorded, rather than criminal statistics being skewed and public understanding of who is committing these crimes being undermined.
