ACLU blocking freedom of information

The ACLU are trying to prevent a women from accessing public records on transgender inmates in Washington state. The request was in line with the Washington Public Records Act, which allows citizens access to these public records, yet the response was a lawsuit against a private citizen by an organisation that is supposed to defend civil liberties. The Women’s liberation front (WoLF) are now representing the women in question in fighting this injunction.

A professor at the University of Rhode Island has had her job questioned for writing an article expressing her feminist views. The article titled “Fantasy Worlds on the Political Right and Left: QAnon and Trans-Sex Beliefs” expressed the fact that people cannot change sex and are not born in the wrong body. In response there are petitions calling for her to be fired. Dr. Hughes has responded to the distortions of her words here. There is now a counter petition in support of Dr. Hughes and her right to free speech.
