Feminism co-opted to remove child protection
An international organisation, ILGA World are trying to eliminate laws that protect children and to lower the age of consent, under the guise of a “Feminist Declaration.” The declaration if put into practice will erase safeguarding and child protection.
The many organisations associated with ILGA World include Unison, Unite, the University and College Union, London Councils and LGBT Labour. They are giving support and legitimacy to a group lobbying for the erasure of child protection. Anyone involved with these organisations should contact them with their concerns.
Declaration on Women’s Sex Based Rights
The Women’s Human Rights Campaign (WHRC) involved in sharing the above story are a feminist group who promote a Declaration on Women’s Sex Based Rights. They hold weekly webinars on women’s rights issues. This week is covering Women in Prison. The issue of safety in women’s prisons has become vitally important with same sex provisions being removed in many countries. Some of the most vulnerable women in our society are being put in danger and women have been assaulted because of these policies.
