There have been some updates on important cases this week. Firstly Allison Bailey’s case has been put back until next year. Allison is a lifelong campaigner for racial equality and LGB rights. She is suing Stonewall who targeted her position at her chambers after she became involved with the LGB alliance.
Another case that has been put back is Raquel Rosario Sánchez’s. She is bringing a case against Bristol University for enabling bullying and harassment against her for her feminist beliefs.
In positive news the aforementioned Raquel Rosario Sánchez, as a representative of FiLiA provided evidence at the Women and Equalities Select Committee (WESC) Inquiry into reform of the GRA along with Women’s Place UK and Fair Play for Women. Women’s groups got to have a voice on potential changes to the law which will impact us. This has been sorely lacking.
