Irresponsible reporting from the BBC

The direct quote from Page, which was reported by the BBC on the 30th of April, breaches the BBC’s code on suicide reporting, and goes against the Samaritans’ media guidelines.

This is not the first time the BBC has uncritically published misleading and emotionally manipulative information with regards to suicide rates amongst gender dysphoric youth; Ben Hunte’s article on the Tavistock case in December last year pedalled the myth that gender dysphoric children would be in danger without access to puberty blockers.
