Yesterday Gofundme took down Marion Millar’s fundraiser within 3 hours, it had made over £12,000. Thankfully Marion was able to raise £30,000 through other means and will not need further donations at this time. We will make sure to share any future fundraisers with you when we know the details.

I had to delete some of my previous tweets due to wording, however, I can confirm I have pledges and donations up to £30,000.00. You did it, you fabulous women and men. At this time I do not need any further donations until we know how this will escalate. Thank you all so so much

Please be vigilant on new fundraisers being shared on social media. At least one account fraudulently shared paypal details on twitter claiming to be Marion, but was thankfully deleted quickly.

In the meantime lets get sunlight onto this shocking story. No women should have to go through this. Share, talk and shout about this in any way you can. Our thoughts and solidarity are with Marion. #WomenWontWheesht

Women’s menopause experience

Carolyn Harris MP is asking for “people” i.e women going through the menopause to share their experiences. There will be a debate in parliament on the 9th June. It’s disappointing that women could not be named in the title of this debate, but could still be an important opportunity for menopausal women. Menopause is under researched and many women feel dismissed and unsupported during this time. You could also take the opportunity to emphasize the importance of naming women in health care. Contributions may be referred to during the debate.
