Conversion Therapy Bill
Since the government announced it will be banning conversion therapy for sexual orientation but not for gender identity, over 100 organisations have pulled out of the three-day Safe To Be Me conference.
As the government is predictably receiving plenty of push-back, those of us who support the decision should recognise the efforts of politicians who listened to our concerns and helped to halt plans to include gender identity as part of the bill.
Call to Action
Write to Boris Johnson and other politicians to thank them for listening to concerns and not rushing through legislation that could prevent gender dysphoric children receiving effective therapy and care. This is not necessarily an exhaustive list but we know the following expressed concerns with the bill:
