You may have seen Ed Davey’s appearance on The Andrew Marr Show at the weekend, during which he reiterated that single sex spaces should not exist. He also failed to explain why Natalie Bird was punished by the party for wearing a t-shirt which stated Woman - Adult Human Female. Women Talk Back!

A feminist student society was sanctioned by the University of Bristol’s Student Union (BSU) because they did not include men. The group was woman-only, in accordance with the single sex exemptions clause in the Equality Act 2010. After an incident in March 2020, which involved trans rights activists hijacking one of the society’s meetings, BSU told the society they had to be open to everybody, and the group’s President, Raquel Rosario Sanchez, had to step down. The society is bringing a case against BSU and needs our help to raise the initial funds to do so.
