FCA Consultation
The Financial Conduct Authority are consulting the public with regards to its “Diversity and Inclusion on Company Boards and Executive Committees” listing rules. The company does not however believe that representation of women is important - the boards can be entirely made up of men, as long as 40% of the men say they are women.
Call to Action
Complete the FCA consultation by Wednesday 20th October. Remind the FCA that sex is a protected characteristic. Enabling men to self ID their way into roles reserved for women entirely negates the point of the targets, which exist to increase the representation of women, who are underrepresented due to our sex.
Pregnant then Screwed is a charity that recognises the impact female biology can have on a career. Pregnancy and motherhood, for example, are major contributors towards workplace discrimination. On the charity’s website you can find case studies, advice and support.
